LIFE LATELY [04.02.24]

I’m sharing a little Life Lately. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

To say that the last 2.5 weeks have been eventful, would be the understatement of the YEAR! We kicked it off with a piggy back ride that went very wrong when korben let go mid-way up. He sprained his elbow/arm pretty badly and was in a sling for about 10 days. Thankfully nothing was broken!

Hubs got to be the special reader in Korben’s preschool class, which he absolutely loved. Sean read the book The Very Impatient Caterpillar, which is SO cute!

Then we got a foot and a half of snow, which resulted in a 4 day weekend. The same weekend of Jack’s birthday, so we were a little worried that our plans would be scrapped, but thankfully the sun came out and we got to celebrate with a few friends at Urban Air.

That last picture is of Korben, pretending to drive an RV because……..we SOLD our house!!!! Our house was on the market from August to December with lots of showings, but not bites. We pulled it off the MLS for the holidays and mentally we just needed a break. We relisted it on March 14, had one showing on March 15 and had accepted an offer on March 16! I feel like we have lived 10 lives in the last 2 weeks.

The boys have been on Spring Break this week and we have done ALL-THE-THINGS, including picking up Mama J from the airport! We have loved having her here for the week and for Easter. As soon as we picked her up from the airport, we headed to the zoo! We did alot of house hunting, egg hunts, church and lots of family time. It’s been a GREAT week!!

Speaking of house hunting, I could write pages and pages of how God has gone before and quite literally paved the way over the last 2 weeks. From selling our house, actually closing some doors that we really thought were going to pan out, to us relying on Him in ways we never have, to finding the most amazing FORTY ACRES with a brand new home already built on it. Once we get moved and everything, that journey will be it’s own post, but I can tell you that the Lord’s timing is perfect and He has literally walked every step with us.

I’ll be honest, in the past 2 weeks we have eaten out ALOT, which we don’t typically do. We’ve had so many different appointments with realtors, builders and contractors, that we just haven’t been home to cook much. So I’m just going to link two of my favorite spring salads: Tortellini Caprese Pasta Salad and Summertime Fruit Salad!

I tried a new mascara and am loving it (and its price tag!). It’s the Pallado 4D Boost Mascara.

The boys have been LOVING their Dream Big Little Co. bamboo pajamas. They are so soft and comfortable. I also love that they have sizes 6 months to size 10, so kids of all ages can match!

This week last year, we in Texas, spending Spring Break at our family farm. The boys enjoyed lots and lots of time outside, did all kinds of farm work, celebrated Jack’s birthday and even got to see baby chicks!

This is SO true! Friends that you can just look at mid-laughter, trying to get words out and you just laugh harder. The BEST!

Here’s what’s in my cart this week!

I saw this mascara on Instagram and had to order it. The price tag is AMAZING and I love the volume and length it gives me.

The apartment we are going to live in while we are building is amazing, but doesn’t have a ton of storage, so I grabbed these organizer boxes that I’m going to use for a First Aid/Medicine box and an Office Supplies box.

Every year for Easter, I get the boys new rain boots. They are super easy to throw on and they wear them all year long!

I really needed some new slippers, so I grabbed these cute criss-cross slide slippers and can’t wait to try them out.
