FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
In January of 2022, when Jack was halfway through Kindergarten and my husband was going through a really challenging time with his health, we started Friday Pizza & Movie Night. I share the full backstory later in this post, but now it is sweet to see that something that was started out of exhaustion and just wanting a mental break, has become one of the sweetest parts of our week.

JACK’S HEART STORY, PART 3
The surgeon anticipated that Jack would be in the ICU for 2-3 days, mostly depending on the chest tube and then in a regular room for another 3-4 days before going home. They let us know that while they would not discharge us a minute before he was ready to be, that those estimations could be shortened (or lengthened) depending on his progress.

The doctor told us that there was an indention on his esophagus and trachea that looked abnormal. This typically indicated a Right Aortic Arch (a normal Aortic Arch faces left), but they would need to do a CT Scan and Bronchoscopy to be sure.
