WHATEVER WEDNESDAY {04/12/23}

You made it to Wednesday, my friend! Today is Whatever Wednesday. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

Baked Chicken Tacos and Mexican Rice are an easy combo for a busy weeknight dinner. I use rotisserie chicken in my tacos to make it even quicker!

Hello SPRING!!! 🌷🌺 We’ve had the most beautiful weather the last few days and I’m just praying that it sticks around!

For Easter, I wore this Pink Ruffled Dress from Nordstrom with my Dream Pairs Woven Slides. Those slides will be an absolutely staple this Spring and Summer. They are so comfortable!

I also grabbed this Midi-Length T-shirt Dress from Walmart this week and have to say I’m thinking about going back for a few more colors.

Last year during this week Sean and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary (on Thursday we celebrate 10!) and we got new patio furniture. The set came with a firepit and the boys quickly became OBSESSED with roasting marshmallows and making smores. We really enjoyed having a nice place to sit and enjoy the crisp Spring evenings

I have been busy busy busy working on my indoor seedlings. We are about 6 weeks out from our estimated last frost date, so I worked the past few days on getting all of our vegetables that need protection from the cold, started indoors. I’m starting all of our tomatoes, peppers, squash, green beans, okra and some of our flowers inside, under grow lights.

We also have a large batch of vegetables that we are starting outside, through a method called Winter Sowing. These are vegetables like onions, lettuce, spinach and carrots that are “cold hardy”. This means that they can withstand the temperatures if they dip at night.

Here’s what’s in my Amazon cart this week!
My Amazon cart is looking ALOT like summer this week. I grabbed some Ice Popsicle Bags to make popsicles for the kids. I love pureeing fruit to fill these bags with. Then I know that it’s full of healthy ingredients instead of artificial sugar and preservatives. Watermelon is GREAT to use for these because it already has such a high water content.

I had to grab another grow light for my seedlings and have really liked this one so far. The long neck and light tube make it easier to cover a good amount of seedlings all at once. They also have a clippable 15% off coupon!
