LIFE LATELY [07.19.23]
I’m sharing a little Life Lately. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.
Over the weekend we went to the Colorado Renaissance Festival and it was SO much fun! The last time we went Jack was still in a stroller, then Covid happened, so Korben had never been. They had the best time eating all the food, watching the performers, listening to the music, riding rides and just taking it all in.
I worked on some new recipes again this week - Teriyaki Chicken Fried Rice and Tamale Pie. All of these recipes and how to’s will be in the August VIP Pass!
I’ve been working in the garden a ton this week! I love these super affordable slides from Target. They have really great arch support too, which is needed for my plantar fasciitis. I also love this Coola SPF Hair Mist. I like to spray it on my hair part before working outside to avoid the pesky scalp sunburn!
This week last year we did alot of outside playing! We basically live outside May-September in Colorado. You can’t beat the weather and I know by December we will be itching to get back out there and soak up the sun!
Hubby and I got to sneak away for a much needed date night at Ted’s Montana Grill, our favorite! Korben got to try out the climbing wall at Speech Therapy. I remember he had hit some major milestones and got to climb as a reward.
The other day we went out for dinner with the family and Korben asked what something was. I told him it was mashed potatoes and he immediately said, “Potatoes? Like we are growing in our garden?” I LOVE that he and Jack are learning that food doesn’t just show up at the grocery store. It takes time to cultivate, grow and harvest.
Here’s what’s in my cart this week!
Remember that dress I grabbed last week? I grabbed it in another color this week! It’s SO comfortable and has pockets, so it’s a WIN-WIN.
I’m having a hysterectomy tomorrow (I’ll be sharing more on that in the coming weeks) and lots of people have recommended getting an abdominal binder to wear after surgery. It’s basically the same thing you would wear after having a c-section. It’s supposed to help with swelling.
I also grabbed a few back to school things for Jack - some new shoes and Ticonderoga erasers. My child erases like a crazy person and never has a working eraser on the end of his pencil, so hopefully these will help! They aren’t supposed to leave any residue like the pink erasers sometimes do.
