TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY {APRIL 2022}

On the last Tuesday of every month I do Talk About It Tuesday. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

We have been SO busy this month and I knew I would not have alot of time for cooking, so I stocked my freezer with meals from Dream Dinners. A few things I really like about Dream Dinners is that they are a local small business and everything is prepared fresh in their kitchens. They have locations across the United States and if they don’t have one in your area, they also ship to your door.

I decided for this question that I’d take a trip down memory lane and look back at the same month from the year before.
In April 2021 my girlfriends and I had a Mom’s Night Out where we learned how to make Easter Bunny Butt Cakes, Korben would still let me rock him to sleep at night, Jack made sure all of his “creatures” were ready for playing in the water table, Korben escaped his crib and officially entered the world of the crib tent, the boy’s big backyard playset arrived and Jack started thoroughly enjoying his happy place (outside) again!

My new patio furniture! I feel like my backyard is finally complete. It’s been so nice to sit outside in the evenings, make s’mores on the firepit with the boys and just enjoy being together.

Swim Lessons! We started swim lessons at the beginning of the month and 1 child loves it, the other hates it. During the first lesson, I realized that because Korben was 3.5 months old when the Covid Lockdown happened and then pools were closed for basically 2 years, he has never been in a pool. SO the whole process for him has been very slow going. He still cries most of the class, but he’s at least reaching out for the teacher now. Small wins.
Jack, on the other hand, has picked it right back up and would live in the water if I let him!

Fires. Fire danger during the summer is very common in Colorado, however it has never been as close and real as it has been the past week. There were 3 small wildfires, way too close to home, in the past week and I know it’s going to be a very worrisome summer if we don’t get some more rain soon.

MOTHER’S DAY!
Mother’s Day is LESS than 2 weeks away, so I’ve been putting together lots of gift guides, because we all know that the mamas in our lives need lots of love and pampering!

MAY! Seriously, I love the warmer weather, being able to get outside more, Mother’s Day, taking the boys to the snow cone truck on opening weekend, so many graduation parties and my hubby’s birthday! I’ve always felt like there was a different energy to May as you wrap up the school year and anticipate summer. I LOVE it!

This Is Us. Anyone else just dreading the next few episodes, but in a put the pieces together already, kind of way? I’m sure I’ll be ugly crying during the finale.

Is silence an answer? I’ve caught myself multiple times over the past few weeks driving in total silence. It hasn’t really been on purpose, but life is so chaotic sometimes, I think it’s just a nice respite.

Bright lipsticks, all the sandals and my new sunnies.. Thank you JESUS for Spring!

This is the last weekend before we have a full month of something going on every weekend (Mother’s Day, Birthday Parties, Graduation Parties, ALL THE PARTIES!), so I think we will be playing outside, doing some yardwork and just being home.

Like I said in question 11, May is FULL but I am super excited about it! We have Mother’s Day, Kindergarten Graduation and Sean’s 40th Birthday. Plus, since hubs and I serve on Wednesday night at our church’s student ministry service, we have alot of graduations and graduation parties on the calendar, which I love! I’m a big fan of celebrating BIG milestones, so I’m so excited to celebrate these seniors that we’ve gotten to love on the past few years!
