TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY {JUNE 2022}

On the last Tuesday of every month I do Talk About It Tuesday. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

We have been SO busy this month. Jack has been in camps each week and I feel like I’ve just lived in the car. I don’t mind because he is SO social and needs the interaction and he is getting to experience so many different activities and sports!

Since we’ve been so busy, I’ve been relying on one-sheet meals ALOT. They are just so easy. Sheet Pan Butter Cracker Chicken is one of our favorites! We’ve also been loving our favorite Snow Cone truck and are soaking up every minute we can get them this summer! If you are local to the Colorado Springs area, you definitely need to try Kokomo Shaved Ice!

sheet pan, recipe, sheet pan meal, one pot meal

I decided for this question that I’d take a trip down memory lane and look back at the same month from the year before.
In June 2021, I got to make a quick weekend trip to Texas for a graduation and got to meet up for lunch with my college roommate and forever bestie for lunch! Jack got to go to his first ever day camp and absolutely loved every minute. We had a tree planted in our backyard, visited LOTS of parks and my mom came to spend a month with us!
While she was here, Sean and I got to take a quick getaway to Glenwood Hot Springs, which is AMAZING and beautiful and has amazing food. To round out the month, we found a hidden gem called Play Street Museum, which is solely imaginative play and it has become one of our favorite play places, especially in the winter!

SUMMER! Every little thing about summertime. We have been SO busy enjoying every minute of it but it also feels like time slows down so much in the summer and I absolutely love it!

CAMP (and sickness)! The boys got to go to a day camp together earlier in the month. Jack caught some kind of virus that wiped him out and we ended up in the ER. Thankfully we were able to reschedule soccer camp, which he missed. He also got to do Summer Adventure, which is our church’s version of Vacation Bible School and this week he is at Zoo camp!

The heat and humidity in Texas. We will be there for a week in July and while every fiber of my being is SO excited to be going home for a week, the heat and humidity are just so miserable. My boys literally might melt. My mom always comes out here for summer, so the boys really haven’t experienced a Texas summer and they are in for a rude awakening, haha!

SO much coming to the blog in July! I’ve got new recipes, tons of try-ons, back to school prep and Amazon Prime Day!!

TEXAS!! We are going to Texas in July because the boys are ring bearers in a wedding and I can’t wait. We added a few extra days so that we could spend some time with my brother’s family. I can’t wait for all of the cousins to play together!!

Ehhhh. Does anyone else just flip through channels during the summer? None of my regular shows are on and I find myself watching Food Network alot!

My life is a constant radio of kid shows…..Bubble Guppies, Paw Patrol, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse….that’s about it!

Walmart, Walmart, Walmart! I’ve found SO many cute dresses and tops there this summer and have been loving everything I got!

Laundry and all the packing! All. The. Roadtrip. Packing.

Family!! I’m super excited to see my brother, sister-in-law and niece in July! The last time we were all together was in Breckenridge in December 2020. Korben and Abigail (my niece) were just babies! They are only 6 weeks apart and I know the kids are going to love playing together.
