THIS OR THAT?
Last week I did a This or That Poll on my Instagram, so if you aren’t following me there you definitely should be!. So I thought it’d be fun to turn it into a blog post with my choices!
APPETIZER
I tend to have a salty over sweets palate. I love a good appetizer…stuffed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail, chips and salsa, dumplings, all of it!
ONION RINGS
Honestly I love both, however I can never pass over a perfectly breaded onion ring, the kind that basically fall apart when you pick them up because the breading is so perfect!
SEND A TEXT
My voicemail literally says, “If your call is important, please hang up and text me. You will get a much faster response.”
PC
I have always been a Mac girl. I’m still an iphone/ipad girl. However, when your husband builds PC’s and decides to build you a crazy cool laptop, you switch to PC.
PASTA
I love a good pizza, but there’s only so many ways you can make a pizza. There’s nothing better than a good homemade pasta dish!
SUNSET
Sunsets will always have a special place in my heart. The day my dad passed away, there was the most beautiful sunset painted in the sky when we walked out of the hospital. I’ve seen many sunsets since that day and always feel close to my dad when I see them.
COUNTRY
I grew up in the country (and hated it). It was always too far away from my friends and anything “fun.” Now “the farm” is one of my favorite places on earth. It’s peaceful, I feel close to my dad there and goodness gracious there is all the dirt my two little boys could ever need! I feel like where we live now is a good compromise though, we are in a small rural neighborhood, about 10 minutes from “town,” so now I have the best of both worlds!
HOTEL
(99% of the time!)
If it is only my family traveling, always a hotel. It’s just easier. However, if it’s ALL of the family (my mom, brother’s family, etc.) then definitely an AIR BNB. In December 2020, when the world was still going crazy, my whole family, my aunts and uncles and all of my cousins and their families rented a house in the mountains after Christmas and it remains one of my favorite trips! Restaurants and activities were still super restricted, but we had the BEST time just being together!
I mean, this is an easy answer when it is where I get to connect with all of you! I do however, enjoy TikTok when I just need to zone mindlessly or wind down.
MOUNTAINS
I actually thought this one would be a little closer! I absolutely love the beach and can’t wait to take the boys to the beach, BUT there is just something about the mountains. It’s cozy and quaint and breathtaking.
