WHATEVER WEDNESDAY {03/01/23}

You made it to Wednesday, my friend! Today is Whatever Wednesday. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

Sean had a quick surgery last week and my sweet, sweet friend showed up to preschool pickup with dinner in hand from Sam’s Club. It was delicious and lasted us 2 days! I’d never had their Greek salad and can confirm that I will definitely be getting it again.

I’ve also been learning how to make artisan bread. My mom found a really good deal on the Kitchen Aid Bread Bowl and asked if I wanted an early birthday present. Umm, yes please!

Since we are going to Texas in a few weeks, I’ve been pulling out some of my warm weather clothes. I grabbed this t-shirt dress from Target last week and am going back this week for more colors! I was worried that the side ruching would be too high, but it’s perfect and gives the dress great shape on.

I also dug around in my closet and found one of my favorite shirts to wear all Spring and Summer. It’s lightweight, easy to wear with jeans or shorts and comes in a ton of different colors!

Last year during this week we had beautiful weather and were able to play at the park! I love this time of year because after lots of snow, we are ready to get out and play. Korben also got a haircut and I can’t handle how big he looks here!

Jack loves cooking with me in the kitchen, so he started learning how to slice vegetables. He’s become a really good little sous chef.

I saw this message while I was scrolling Instagram this weekend and it was just a good reminder of the temptation to compare. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of comparison, especially through social media. The truth is, there will always be someone else to compare yourself to. Someone who you think is thinner, a better cook, a better mom, looks better in this outfit or plans better birthday parties. The motherhood comparison trap is so dangerous. I remind myself all the time that I’ve been made exactly the woman and mom that my family needs me to be!

Here’s what’s in my Amazon cart this week!
I’ve been using a super pricey lash serum for a while but have heard AMAZING things about the Grande Cosmetics GrandeLash Serum, so since I needed a refill I am going to try it out.

Jack’s birthday is coming up in a few weeks and since we put him back into soccer, I thought a new soccer goal would be a great birthday gift. I love that you can set it up 2 different ways for playing or for practicing.

I’ve been looking at a few different starter seed heat lamps for getting a jumpstart on a few vegetables and flowers that wouldn’t do well in the winter sowing plants.

Jack is doing so well in math and I needed another book to help challenge him a little more. I like that this is a 1st/2nd grade book. I know there will be plenty of concepts he already knows that he can practice on and some new concepts that will help challenge him a bit more.
