WHATEVER WEDNESDAY [06.14.23]
You made it to Wednesday, my friend! Today is Whatever Wednesday. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.
This past week has been busy and full but so good 😍 We are finished up week 1 and started week 2 of swim lessons! I love having swim lessons in the mornings because it tuckers them out and Korben naps SO good in the afternoon. Jack doesn’t really nap anymore, but there were a few days that he just wanted to “rest” in his room.
On Thursday our summer Mom’s Group kicked off and the boys were happy to be back in their regular Thursday Boy’s Night routine. I can guarantee you I was more happy to be back with my girls! Taking 2 weeks off was just crazy, I love these women something fierce!
On Friday we had a weekly Movie Night. We’ve been watching the Marvel movies in timeline order and finally got to The Avengers. The boys were SO excited and Korben has been running around yelling “Hulk Smash” ever since 🤣.
Over the weekend I was able to get the rest of the seedlings that were ready out into the garden AND secured my hail netting. I debated getting one but after the insane storms we’ve had this week (see bottom right photo), I’m so glad that I did! We got 5.5” of rain in 24 hours, tons of flooding around town and lots of hail, but I’m happy to report the garden is unscathed!
I’ve been working on some delicious new recipes and pre-planned meal rotation that will all be part of the July VIP Pass!

This week last year, the boys finished their first week of summer camp. They start back again next week and are SO excited! Jack learned how to make his own peanut butter and jelly sandwich and he got to build his very first KiwiCo Box. We are reading this book for our Mom's Group this summer and I had never, ever thought about the sheep and the shepherd this way before.
We always hear that the shepherd tends to the flock, but I never put any thought into the fact that half of the flock is made up of mama sheep.
Jesus never left the mama ewes to fend for themselves or barely make it to where they would bed down for the night. He gently and purposefully takes steps to protect and nurture our very souls. ❤️

I hung up my string lights in the backyard this weekend and was one strand short, ugh! So I grabbed a 2-pack to have a backup!
Jack wore a tank top to play in the backyard on Saturday and of course little brother wanted to wear one too. Seeing that he had zero in his closet, I ordered a pack so he can be just like big brother.
I am not a lover of drinking water, so often in order to make myself drink it, I need to add some flavor to it. I love this Hydration Water Enhancer in fruit punch!
When I realized that Jack and Korben were wearing the same swimsuits, I figured I needed to grab a new one for Jack. He still loves all things dinosaur so this was the perfect find!
