CRISPY BATTERED HONEY CHICKEN
My family never turns down Chinese food and absolutely devoured this Crispy Honey Chicken recipe! It would be great to pair with sesame green beans on the side.
In a mixing bow add egg whites and whisk until foamy. Add cornstarch and water and mix until well combined.
Slice chicken breast into small cubes. Fold the chicken into the cornstarch mixture.
Heat oil in pan. You want it to be really hot before adding the chicken, otherwise it wonβt get as crispy as youβd like. You need about 3 inches of oil. Add chicken pieces to oil and fry until golden brown, about 2 inches on each side. Remove chicken and place on a paper towel lined plate to absorb excess oil.
Mix together honey and sweetened condensed milk. Place fried chicken pieces in an oven safe dish, add honey mixture and toss to coat. Place chicken in oven under the broiler on high for about 5 minutes. This gives the chicken that extra crispy finish!
Serve with rice and a side of sesame green beans!
