LIFE LATELY [06.28.23]
“I hope yesterday reminds you how strong you were, today proves you how capable you are, and tomorrow tells you how fantastic you can be.”
Today I’m sharing a little Life Lately. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.
I feel like this past week has just been full on SUMMER and I am not sad about it!
The boys were in a day camp together last week. This is their last year to get to go together and they had so much fun! Our weekend wasn’t anything fancy, just filled with yard work and enjoying playing outside.
This week big brother is at Vacation Bible School at our church and little brother wasn’t so sure about that at first. After we dropped Jack off on Monday, we had the BEST playdate with some of our sweet friends. They kids played in the splash pad in the backyard and I just love my mama friends!
After dinner Monday night, Sean suggested we go get frozen yogurt and the boys thought that was the absolutely BEST thing ever!
I’ve been trying out different bread recipes for the last 6 months or so. This week I tried making homemade hamburger buns and OMG they were sooooo good!
I also made this Sweet Summertime Fruit Salad for our playdate. It’s always a big hit and it’s so easy to make.
I’ve had so many requests this week wondering where I get the boy’s matching clothes. To be honest it is definitely getting harder now that Jack is in boy sizes and Korben is still in toddler sizes.
Most of the time, their matching shirts are from Carter’s. I really love that on alot of their clothes they have a drop down menu to show you if they offer the same thing in infant, toddler or boys. It makes life so much easier!
They are currently having a BIG sale. My boys are good on summer clothes but they have alot of their winter/long sleeve items marked WAY down, so I’m stocking up!
This week last year, was filled with lots of summer! Looking back at pictures, the whole week is filled with swimming, snow cones, playing outside and winding down with snuggles on the couch.
Hubby and I have long had a dream of building our forever home on land with a mountain view. We are no where near close to moving, but we have started doing a little more realistic looking. I love the idea of barndominium! If you have built one, I’d love to hear your feedback!!
Here’s what’s in my cart this week!
All things Carter’s sale!! Seriously when pants are $5.99 and long sleeve tees are $3.59, it’s really a no brainer 😍!
