JUNE REWIND {2023}
I truly believe that summertime is God’s way of reviving our souls. There’s a looseness to summer, a freedom to break the tight grip of a schedule and ride the waves of sunshine till you have that sunkissed tired feeling and to rest with the sounds of an afternoon summer thunderstorm as raindrops splash on the windows.

The beginning of June was filled with 2 weeks of SOLID rain and hail. Thank goodness I ordered this hail netting because it has been a life saver! I feel like I uncovered the plants every morning and about 1:30 everyday I covered them back up because hail was on its way. That’s the summer life in Colorado.
Since the need for an ark passed, the garden has just relished in days and days of sunshine and now that most of the planting is done, we are just checking the plants each day and enjoying watching as they grow.
We also have been doing some propagating experiments to see what we can grow from kitchen scraps. It started off as just a fun experiment for the boys to be able to follow, but I’ve been really amazed at watching the entire regeneration process. God’s design is just so amazingly brilliant. At the beginning of the month we did some Romaine Lettuce and now we are testing garlic!
Hopefully by the time I write the July Rewind, we will be harvesting vegetables for dinner each night 😍.
