LIFE LATELY [07.05.23]

Happy July my friends! I took a few days off to hang out with the family and finish a few big project, but I’m so glad to be back.

Today I’m sharing a little Life Lately. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

We had another great week of summer!

Jack was at Vacation Bible School at our church for most of the week, so Korben really soaked in some one-on-one time with Mama. I can definitely say that running errands with 1 kid instead of 2 is alot easier!

We have some sweet friends that live outside of town and invited us out to see their chickens and greenhouse. The boys have since asked every morning when we are going to get chickens 🤣.

We had our monthly bunco game on Thursday, so I made my favorite Texas Queso to snack on.

Yesterday for the Fourth of July we went over to some friends house to watch the fireworks over Pike’s Peak and I made Apple Cobbler!

Both of these dresses have been on repeat this week. I actually have both styles in a few different colors.

The black dress is Zella from Nordstrom and is the most amazing, moisture wicking fabric. It feels sporty but also fun and flirty! It also comes in a burgundy color.

The orange dress is my favorite Time and Tru Tiered Swing Dress. I have it in orange and olive green!

This week last year, we were road tripping to Texas for the week. The boys were ring bearers in a precious family friend’s wedding. We were able to stretch our trip out a little and get in some sweet family time with my brother and his family!

I will be the first to tell you that my thoughts about life in general have drastically changed over the past 3 years. I never in my life thought I would be homeschooling and canning and gardening and dreaming up ways to live a more self-sufficient life.

I often have to tell myself that “it’s ok to go slowly". You don’t have to throw every item in your pantry away because of xyz ingredient, but you can start making smarter choices about what you fill your pantry with while you make your next grocery list.

When I think about the fact that I haven’t bought a loaf of sandwich bread since the beginning of December, makes me so proud of 1 decision that I made to help my family live healthier, with less artificial ingredients.

Here’s what’s in my cart this week!

My Amazon cart isn’t big this week, but that’s because I’m gathering deals for you for Prime Days on July 11 and 12!

However, I did get a few gift cards for my birthday and have been eyeing a new backpack purse for a while.

I also grabbed this handheld fan, because summer. It was also recommended for me to use after my surgery at the end of the month so I went ahead and grabbed it!
