TEACHING TUESDAY [05.30.23]

Welcome to Teaching Tuesday! If you are new here, I’m a former teacher, have a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am now a homeschool mom. You can read more about that journey here.

Every Tuesday I’m going to share an at home learning idea for preschool and elementary age kids, new curriculum resources and a freebie or two!

When Jack was learning letters, he really struggled with q and y. To help practice these letters, I wrote each of them on 3 post-it notes and stuck them to the wall in the stair well. Each time he went up or down the stairs, he had to touch each post-it note and say the letter. After doing this for a week or so, he could identify the letters independently.

We have used this “drill” for sight words (as seen above) and fact families. It has worked every single time!

Here are new resources that I’ve been working on this week!

I wanted to give one last opportunity to download our MAY Free Resources before they are gone!
