I spy activities are great for developing working memory and visual discrimination.
Working Memory is a skill that allows us to do multi step tasks without losing track o the process you are completing.
Visual Discrimination is the ability to identify differences in two different things and classify them appropriately. For example, being able to discriminate the different between the shapes of a pumpkin and candy corn and then categorize them by the appropriate color.
For a preschooler who is just learning to count, it might be a bit difficult to have them color the items, count them and then write the number in the blank. However, using bingo paint dabbers is a great way for the child to identify the picture and connect it to a color,
