WHATEVER WEDNESDAY {06/07/23}

You made it to Wednesday, my friend! Today is Whatever Wednesday. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

We are full into summer and I’m feeling it with the lack of schedule! We had a week between when school stuff ended and summer activities began and it basically stormed (thunder, lightening, hail) every days. So the boys have been doing lots of coloring, play doh, building, etc.

I love this sweet picture of Jack and Korben coloring at the table. Jack was teaching Korben how to color inside the lines.

This week we started swim lessons. Remember last year when Korben cried the entire swim lesson for 5 straight months? Well, the boy no longer has any fear. In fact he ran and jumped into the pool, thankfully the instructor was right there but it about gave me a heart attack.

I also had my annual well-woman check. Those are always just super fun 🤣. It was also a pre-op appointment to my July surgery, so two birds with one stone!

The garden keeps getting better everyday! We are experimenting with some upside down growing for some of our peppers and I just love the whimsical feel that the string lights gave the backyard.

I’ve been living off of this Copycat Olive Garden Italian Salad!

Sandals and sundresses are my mantra for summer! Seriously though, there’s nothing better than a tank dress, like this one, that’s super comfortable but also makes you feel put together. I’m loving these Reef Slides for basically everything - gardening, parks, dinner out - they are super eratile.

This week last year, the boys started their first summer camp! The preschool that we love does several weeks of camp for their preschoolers and siblings, so it was fun to get to send them together!

A week ago, one of my nearest and dearest friends, lost their 8 year old nephew in a tragic accident. I keep looking at my Jack, who is 7 years old and I just can’t imagine the unfathomable pain and sorrow that their family is experiencing.

I asked the Lord in the days after to bring me words that I could send to my friend, words she didn’t have to respond to but that let her know she was loved and being prayed over. This is one of the words that Lord brought to me and it was just a sweet reminder that even in the most tragic, horrific, unthinkable circumstances, Jesus is there, restoring it to Himself.

Here’s what’s in my Amazon cart this week!

One of the gardening groups I’m in highly recommended this fertilizer for tomatoes!

I got a shaved ice attachment for my kitchen aid mixer and needed some squeeze bottles for the snocone syrup. Alot of the traditional ones are glass, which I definitely didn’t want with a 7 and 3 year old around, so I grabbed these and they are SUPER sturdy. I tried them out last night and they worked perfectly.

I was at a baby shower last weekend where they read this sweet, sweet book over the new mama. I cried, everyone cried. It is a beautiful book about the unfailing love of a parent and the Lord, regardless of what happens in life.

Last, I needed a refill on one of my favorite mascaras and at under $10, I said ADD TO CART!
