WHATEVER WEDNESDAY [06.21.23]

You made it to Wednesday, my friend!

Today is Whatever Wednesday. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

Hello summer is all I can say!! It has finally stopped raining - - like literally rain for the last 2 weeks - - and we are soaking up the sunshine.

On Thursday, we finished up swimming lessons. Living in a place that has a very short “pool” season is weird. I grew up in Texas, so we were always in the pool. Here in Colorado, there are some neighborhood pools and mostly private pools attached to the YMCA or Health Club.

After swim lessons, I took the boys to the library. It was Korben’s first time to check out book snad he absolutely loved it!

I spent Saturday testing out several pickling recipes for the July VIP PASS. Later Saturday afternoon, our family said goodbye to our sweet dog, Geordi. He was 12 years old and had recently started losing a ton of weight. The vet said that he had tumors on his stomach and we made the decision to not let him suffer. This was our boy’s first real experience with death and loss and it has been hard.

This week the boys are going to a summer day camp and it has been a nice distraction for them after losing our pup over the weekend.

For Mother’s Day/Birthday Sean got a new grill/smoker for me. I’ve been wanting to try out the smoker for several weeks but the weather has not been cooperating. I was finally able to try it on Sunday and smoked a turkey for Father’s Day. It was DELICIOUS!

Like I said above, I’ve been experimenting with different pickling recipes for the July VIP Pass and I can’t wait to share them 😍.

It’s another week of sandals and sundress, repeat!

Walmart always has such great simple summer dresses. I have this one in orange and love it so much that I also grabbed it in olive. It’s super comfortable and has pockets. It’s currently on rollback for $10.98, so I may grab another color or 2!

I’ve been eyeing these sandal slides from Target for a few weeks and finally went into the store yesterday to exchange my boy’s swimsuits. I peaked into the shoe section and they happened to have them and holy batman, they are comfortable!

This week last year, I successfully took the boys to get haircuts at the SAME TIME. If you know, you know! I love this picture of my seed packs from last year - my first attempt at growing and I literally grew one green bean plant….now I have a whole garden!

In Colorado, dehydration can set in very quickly. The last picture is of a trip to the ER with Jack for dehydration and a migraine. I remember how disappointed he was because he had to miss part of soccer camp 😥.

I have FULLY embraced my crazy plant lady status. I go out every morning and evening to check on my beloved garden, as if it were a newborn 🤣.

Here’s what’s in my Amazon cart this week!

My brother recommended this wireless meat thermometer. I used it on Sunday while I smoked a turkey and it worked perfectly! It also has a $10 off clippable coupon right now.

I’ve been eyeing this Rubbermaid scrubber for months because I want to really scrub and deep clean my baseboards and grout. I’ll let you know how well it works!

When I was painting our fence in the backyard last week, one of my earbuds fell into the paint bucket. I love the Tozo earbuds so I quickly grabbed these as a replacement! They are currently 45% off, so that’s an added bonus 😍.

Our Mom’s Group is starting a Bunco Game Night once a month, so I grabbed the game kit!
