LIFE LATELY [01.29.24]

I’m sharing a little Life Lately. It’s a little of what we are doing, what we are eating, what we are wearing and a little bit of whatever else is on my mind all in one post.

To be honest, January has been kind of a mess 🤣 I think we have had approximately 423 snow days called. January has basically been a mash up of snow days and puppies, which is super fun but also I need some routine. Like, Mama’s eye is getting a little twitchy over here 😂.

Jack had his first Pinewood Derby in Cub Scouts and had such a great time making his car with hubby. He won all of his heats until the last one and his wheel popped off, but he was such a good sport about it and just talked about how much fun he had building the car with dad.

We have been a little souped-out so I whipped up these Salisbury Meatballs last week and they were a hit with the whole family!

King Soopers had pineapples 10 for $10, so I bought 2 rounds and have been processing pineapples all weekend. I’m making pineapple lemonade concentrate from the actual pineapple and then I’ve been rendering down the rinds, blending, straining and then making pineapple wellness shots from the leftover liquid. I’ll have all of that up on the blog soon!

I graduated from joggers to leggings, haha! But really I’m loving this shirt extender and how easy it makes it to wear any top and have my booty still covered.

I’m also pretty obsessed with this red lip from Tarte! Their Maracuja Juicy Lipstick is so long wearing and the color is poppin! I’m wearing the shade Rose Apple.

This week last year, we were starting to enjoy homeschool life. It took a hot minute to get into our groove, but we finally did and felt like we were turning a corner. The boys also loved being able to play together so much!

I also started Winter Sowing and garden planning for the Spring. Last, but certainly not least, Korben graduated from Speech Therapy!

This is so true! Last year I was so anxious about the Spring planting season. This year after having a pretty good backyard garden, I’m enjoying the in between time of researching ways to improve, troubleshooting what didn’t work and planning for this year’s garden!

Here’s what’s in my cart this week!

I’ve been on the hunt for a good bronzer, as my favorite one of all time was discontinued. I absolutely love this Elizabeth Mott Whatup Beaches Bronzer. It has a little shimmer to it, but they also have a matte version.

The puppies got ahold of Jack’s winter coat and ripped it to shreds. Lesson learned on where not leave our coat hanging and that the puppies can jump alot higher than we thought. I ordered this coat from Amazon, mainly because it could get here the next day and Jack has raved about how “fluffy” and cozy it is.

Remember how I said pineapples were on sale at King Soopers? Well I ordered a pineapple corer and went to town on them this weekend! It worked so well and I’ll never cut a pineapple the same way again.

My boys love being outside. They play outside in our backyard most of the year, even in the snow. A friend was telling me about this book, “There’s No Such Thing As Bad Weather” because it reminded her of my boys, which I loved! I ordered it and can’t wait to dig into it. I’d love to learn more ways to foster them being outside as much as possible!
